Smeeton's removals were a well-established company in Sleaford, which started at the beginning of the 19th Century by Mr Smeeton. Mr Panton started working for Smeeton's in 1962 as a porter, and after working his way up through the company he took over with his wife in 1982 and it became Smeeton Panton Removals, a small family run business. He eventually moved from the premises in Sleaford and had two purpose built warehouses built in Heckington. The office was later moved from Sleaford to the depot at Heckington.
