F&N Worldwide F+N was founded in Berlin in the 1980s and moved to England a couple of years later. Originally specialising in UK military traffic the company soon expanded into the local moving market as well as private and trade European moves.

It was not long before the deep sea sector was developed and with the addition of self-store facilities, office moving and thriving imports, our business has continued to grow. We are also shareholders in Euromovers and this, with membership of FIDI and HHGFAA, gives us a huge number of agents, colleagues and associates around the world.

The company is also an active member of the British Association of Removers and has supplied volunteers to help run the association for many years

We chose Grantham as the operating centre for our business as it is in the heart of England enabling us to cover the whole country with ease. Access to the east coast ports is also enhanced and fast routes to London mean our rates reflect the savings we make in property costs.

Storage
Report
Storage in this day and age is in purpose made wooden containers. The containers can come to your home on a removal truck and be loaded directly so avoiding double handling and cutting down on risk. They are naturally ventilated and strong enough to be stacked for safe keeping short or long term. It is possible to take things from the container during their stay with us although a small charge may result.

I wouldn't bother looking anywhere else. F&N's service is second to none, and I say this having used them several times over the years. We had the full pack and unpack service - it was worth every penny. The assessor gives you a good idea of what to expect along with some tips such as removing clock batteries in advance, the packers turn up on time, are polite and very careful with your possessions, and nothing is too much trouble.

The unpack was even better - they will move anything you want and do a really good job of guessing where to put things if you don't tell them. And of course the full unpack means they take all the boxes and packing paper away with them. We can't recommend them highly enough

Thank you for all your help recently, from the first point of contact to the crew who carried out the work, we couldn't have asked for a better level of service.

Would absolutely recommend this company. Very efficient. All furniture expertly wrapped to prevent damage. Lads in uk worked hard all day to pack our belongings and lads in Spain arrived on time and unpacked very quickly. Cheaper than a lot of quotes we had. Very happy with this company

Terrible experience. Furniture was damaged and stored unprofessionally to the point that the wardrobe doors did not actually fit into a rather expensive wardrobe anymore, which is now worthless. F&N do not even bother responding to complaints. I have moved around Europe a lot and have never experienced anything like this before. I cannot recommend this company at all.

Would I move with F & N again? Maybe. Should you read this review carefully and make sure they remain accountable for both your possessions and just a bit of your sanity? Absolutely. Moving internationally is stressful at best. F & N did not make it any easier in my experience. In some respects, it was my fault. F & N offered a cost 10% less than other removal companies, and I wanted to save the money.

I suspect I paid for that in the end. I'd like to be constructive here and make sure readers (both F & N and consumers) understand what could go better. International moves must involve subcontracting. It's a necessity to hand the work from one team to the next until the goods arrive in their next home. As the client, however, I was not given a walk through (neither on the phone or email) on how this would work.

That's not a problem if things go smoothly, but this was bumpy every step of the way. Perhaps on the most egregious side, I had to redo rather extensive paperwork for every single company subcontracted in the move. I would have paid the extra %10 for this. Whereas F & N could have managed that -- for example, I had to provide copies of my identification documents to new companies that were carrying my things-- they failed to do so.

I hadn't had this problem when I moved to the UK (via Rainier) from the US. But, headed out of the UK back to the US, I had to deal with each separate subcontractor's forms. In at least one instance that I'm aware of, my container missed a connection and was rerouted and I had to do new paperwork/provide new documents. This was especially upsetting because-- of course-- I wasn't at any home with access to a computer or a printer or my stuff that makes communication possible.

The subcontracted shipping companies (non-English speaking, nor any language I speak) couldn't understand why I needed time to deal with the identification issue because they were used to large good shipping for companies-- not an residential move-- and a migrant in possession of few items. When I included F & N in my emails to these shippers, there was no response.

By then they washed their hands of me. They were done when their early part was over and already gone somewhat awry. On the somewhat less shocking side (my husband predicted this), there were a few problems from the start of the removal. I had 'packing' as part of my contract. I called F & N the day before my scheduled removal to make sure that this was clear; I was assured it would be fine. F & N subcontracted another company (ironically farther away than F & N from my home) that showed up unprepared to pack.

They did not bring supplies. They used the supplies that I happened to have on hand-- which they deemed inferior to professional supplies. But I hadn't been planning on using them for an international move (just as donation boxes). This company couldn't finish packing everything (and I had spent that day packing--because I was stressed but hopeful that it would work out-- even though we had paid for me not to pack and not be stressed). F&N then sent their own people the following day to finish the job.

These guys were excellent but showed up with a van, however, and a few things didn't fit. I didn't complain-- and I didn't want to deal with another day and a another set of removal guys. So a few belongings that were on the line went into the trash. It looks like everything is here. And no objects are broken. Hmm.

I don't recommend this company at all, from the monent I signed the agreement, I've had problems with them. Starting with the shcedule of goods (wasn't adviced that this must contain every item packed in order to be fully insured, surely an inventory list when items are packed is more appropriate!), to collection of goods (they showed up with no packing materials depsite being paid for packing), therefore collected a day late. Having been promised a delivery date between a certain week, I was told 4 days prior (Friday afternoon) to them actually arriving that they were due to arrive at the new destination not allowing for enough time to arrange access.

As a result my goods were scheduled to be delivered 2 weeks later, but again no date was given until a few days before regarding time and drop off despite being told several time that I would get "plenty of notice" regarding the delivery date and time. On top of this I had items missing, which I tried to claim back on insurance, but due to not specifically being listed on the shcedule of goods, I am not able to claim for them.

I found the company totally unprofessional, I was treated badly by staff when complaining about the sevrice and then passed on with no effort what so ever to deal with the insurance company, and as a result my claim was in most part rejected. Moving is stressful as it is, you definitely don't need the additional stress this company caused me so I would recommend spending a little bit more to get the service and professionalism you would like when dealing with a move.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the service Paul and Sid gave in packing our house this week. They were great guys, worked extremely hard, and were so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they did a fantastic job of squeezing every last square inch of space in our container. Very pleased we chose F+N!

On Wednesday I had my furniture delivered in Livorno. I wish to compliment and thank your company for the excellent work and the accuracy in delivering, unpacking and placing each single item where I asked in a very short time.
