Garrards

PLEASE DO NOT USE GARRARDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! I contracted Garrards to complete a removal from my house to a storage unit, which was a huge mistake. Firstly, I had to ask the two gentlemen who arrived to move my possessions to wear PPE, which was an immediate red flag as we were still under lockdown conditions. Items were left behind, which Angela in the office assured me would be collected the next day. THEY WERE NOT.

My possessions were handled with utter contempt and were haphazardly packed in the storage unit, causing subsequent damage to various items, some of which belonged to my deceased parents. I asked Malcolm to compensate me for the damages. HE DID NOT. I've had to take legal action against them, resulting in a County Court Judgement being issued against Garrards ordering them to pay for the damages they caused to my possessions. TO DATE, THEY HAVE NOT MADE ANY PAYMENTS.

I've phoned the office, called their mobiles, left voicemails and sent text messages to both Angela and Malcolm requesting a resolution to this ongoing situation. THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED. If you value your possessions, please, please, please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are modern-day cowboys. Malcolm Garrard, you are a disgrace to your profession and I can assume that only the Devil knows how you sleep at night. SHAME ON YOU!

Impeccable service, quick and organised. Excellent value, I would highly recommend to anyone moving house. No complaints whatsoever.

The team worked almost non-stop, yet cheerful and accommodating to all requests. They were in and out in less than three hours, while managing to skillfully get everything down the stairs and into the truck with literally no damage to the walls.

Reasonable pricing. Good workers. The job was done efficiently and my things were given back to me in good condition. Will definitely recommend.

The crew got the entire place packed in three hours, and were very efficient and cheerful while doing so. They had everything down the stairs, on the truck, and up the stairs at the new place by 2 PM. Efficient and worth the money!

I did a lot of research looking for a good moving company and Garrard's came highly recommended! I still shop around for rates and so far Garrard's quote was reasonable and what really made me decide to go with them was their customer service. Very professional and answered all my questions to my satisfaction, same with the movers.

Garrards we're extremely professional for our house move and delivered a seamless service. Due to challenging access at our new house they couldn't unload everything in one move but stored the furniture overnight and returned first thing the next day to finish. Highly recommend to take the stress out of a normally stressful process!

This company seems reasonably priced, however after unpacking at the other end there were breakages and stuff missing. It seems they were aware that they had broken items so rather that just tell me they removed the items in an attempt to hide it. I called them to discuss and if had they spoken to me it could have been easily resolved. They have completely ignored my multiple phone calls, if you do use them I would advise to not pay in full until you unpack absolutely everything.

I have used Garrards three times now and their service is second to none. Quite simply care and consideration taken, skilled and strong staff, superb packing and care taken with everything from 400 year old antiques to pots and pans from the kitchen. They are small enough to really care and big enough to handle the most complex of moves in the South London area, nationally and internationally too.

I have recommended them to friends and they too have called to thank me for my introduction. Thank you Malcom and your team - I will be in touch for move number 4 in 18 months. Anyone reading this - do yourself a favour and save yourself a lot of hassle and call them for your move.

I recently used Garrards removals to move from a 4 bed house to a 3 bed flat. As i was down sizing, i was quite concerned that the move would be difficult and chaotic, but my concerns were completely unfounded. On the day, Garrards turned up on time and took charge of the situation packing and loading all of my furniture ect onto their lorry's. I opted for their packaging service and am glad i did, everything was well packed and in the same condition when it arrived at my new home.

My wife is quite fussy and asked the staff to move furniture from one room to another and then back to the same room again, the staff were happy oblige to her many demands! I found all of the staff to be polite and hard working which made the move lite work for me. I cannot rate my experience highly enough and will definitely be giving them a call when it comes to my next move.

I used Garrards as a work colleague recommended them. Seriously excellent! 3 chaps arrived to move my 2 storerooms full of boxes, suitcases, separates, items, mess, appliances, packets - and packed the storerooms were! Within half an hour, both rooms were empty, van was loaded and off they went. Smiling, friendly, polite and incredible team work. Can't recommend highly enough - will use if I ever need help. Competitive pricing too. Simple process. Glad people like this still exist in our world :-

I've moved several times in the last few years, and was lucky enough to use Garrards the first time. I got such good service that I've used them for all the moves and they've never been anything but friendly, helpful, careful, and very reasonably priced for each job done. As this week's move was hopefully my last move for a while, I thought I'd post this review as a thank you and to let others know about this firm.
