It all started in 1926 when the entrepreneurial Matthew Ferguson decided to leave the colliery to set up in Blyth, Northumberland, as a general carrier. With the Depression at its height, he took the courageous step of selling his house to invest in his first commercial vehicle, a Bean, to commence trading as a general carrier of goods between Blyth and Newcastle.

We used Fergusons for our recent move which required storage of our house contents for about 6 weeks. Prior to our move Brian came to our home to quote for the job and to assess the requirements and importantly provide us with all the information and assurances we required. The price quoted was extremely competitive. We visited Fergusons in Dudley to collect boxes and were shown where our belongings would be stored, which is a very impressive modern warehouse.
On the day of our move they arrived bang on the scheduled time, and presented themselves, uniformed and promoting a very professional approach, which installed confidence straight away. They were extremely careful with everything and did not cause any damage in the process. When the furniture etc was delivered to our new home, it was again on time as scheduled and off loaded with care and attention.
I cannot recommend Fergusons highly enough for the Professional service they provided and the care and attention paid to both our belongings whilst in storage and for delivery without any damage whatsoever. Great company and great staff to deal with. Highly recommended Thank you to all. Iain Logue
