The company James Pugh was originally founded in 1986 by Jim Pugh who wanted to set up his own warehousing, transport and distribution service that offered a high level of personalised, friendly service. Jim's approach to business clearly worked as the company has never looked back from its early days and it has grown over the years with a combination of grit, enthusiasm and focussing on the needs of the customer.
Today many businesses use pallet networks, although we have access to trusted networks when the need arises. We pride ourselves on giving a door to door personal service at a competitive rate, therefore keeping full control of customers goods and ETAs are just a phone call away, ensuring goods arrive on time and in full.
Strategically located close to the M6, M60 & M56 motorways our superb warehousing facilities provide clients with the total distribution solution. Our efficient staff and systems control the receipt, selection and dispatch of materials, and the speed of our response time is continually monitored and improved.
At JPS, we are almost unique in having perfected a system of pumping over and discharging chemicals using our own purpose-built vehicle from an IBC or 200 litre storage drum into the customers own bulk storage tank. We have invested heavily in the system over a number of years, in terms of both equipment and staff training and there are several customers who now benefit in many ways from our pump over delivery system. For the customer, there is a cost saving from using our system and it is a very easy to use system too.
