Kirtleys Removals is a long-established family run business which has operated successfully over the past 18 years. In a tough marketplace occupied by many "here today, gone tomorrow" outfits, our company has steadily grown from its humble beginnings to one of the leading removals and storage companies in Devon and Cornwall thanks to grounded management and word of mouth recommendations and endorsement of past customers. Our list is far from complete and if you would like to submit some of your own advice for others, do drop us a line! Many of the removals tips are common sense but it is easy to forget some of the simple tasks whilst you are in the middle of negotiating a house move. Make sure you have notified everyone that you are moving including your home insurers, doctor, bank, utility companies, other insurers, any subscriptions and charities etc. Arrange any storage you may require - Kirtleys has its own secure storage units available to rent.
In addition to our regular domestic and commercial removals, Kirtleys also provide a bespoke delivery service for local business. Where items are bulky or of large volumes, it is often impractical for a company to operate its own dedicated delivery vehicle as operating costs are generally prohibitive.

Only having less than 24 hours notice to move house, we were recommend this company through word of mouth. Due to the late notice we expected that if they could accommodate us the price would be extortionate but the price was fantastic! Everything was moved within 6 hours (short move in the same city) and the guys working were just brilliant! Couldn't recommend this company any higher but I wish I could! It was the easiest part of the whole house move and I will definitely recommend to anyone! Thanks guys

Can't thank the team enough for their help moving my disabled Aunt and her disabled son plus 100000 different animals all the way from Polperro to North Wales! Despite lots of speed bumps out of our control, the guys went above and beyond. Their banter was alright too!;) Highly highly recommend! :-)

Kirtley Removals stepped in at the last minute when we were let down by a previously booked removals company, but next time I'll just go straight to Kirtley! Absolutely brilliant service. Given the short notice I was blown away by what they did. Took down and re-erected all the beds, got a massive, cumbersome sofa through a tiny door ( I still have NO IDEA HOW) and reversed down a cul- de- sac! wow! Hence we were able to relax on move day and leave it their capable hands. The guys who moved us were able to give advice, they were polite and courteous and had a brilliant sense of humour (remember sugar for the teas next time lol!) which really helped to get the day going in the right direction. Could not recommend more highly. they were genuinely my saviours xxxxx

Critical: Responsiveness Hassled us into paying them despite it being an anticipatory date, clarified on booking that should completion not happen they'd only take 50% to cover costs. Informed them we couldn't move and no mention of refund, had to chase refund and now only given us 25% back. Very disappointed.

Excellent service from start to finish, fitted in a short notice move for an elderly member of my family and the two chaps couldn't have been more helpful, they even tuned in the TV for her. The whole family were really impressed and we will have no hesitation in using Kirtleys for any future moves. Highly recommended

Genuinely can not recommend these guys enough. Moving house is a stressful time and from the offset of getting quote's and that actual move itself kirtleys have been great. Special thanks to Adam, nick and matt worked very hard yesterday in appalling weather and not once did it feel like any thing was too much trouble. Removal days are always quite stressful but once again these guys made it seem like a walk in the park. Always polite, helpful and very hard working. Nothing was too much trouble and they made sure everything went without a hitch. I felt very much looked after, as were all my belongings. Great job, thank you very much.

Great service from the boys at Kirtleys. They did both storage and removals (Twice) for us and we could not fault them. They were thorough and very efficient. I would recommend them to everyone.
