Originally a coal merchant and removals company, based in Stafford from the start, Horsleys is now under the management of Russell and Nigel Horsley, the fifth generation of the family to be actively involved in the company, with the sixth generation already having joined the fold.

Horsleys gave us a very smooth move from a village near Stone to Shrewsbury on April 8th and we were most satisfied with the experience. Their prompt and efficient packing on the morning of the day before gave us the afternoon free to clean our old house (they left us a couple of armchairs and a little crockery and cutlery for the evening.) Their speedy transport on the day allowed us a good start on the unpacking.
The team of Lee, Damon and Paul were helpful and efficient at all times and no request was too much. Thanks, guys, you have given us a great start in our new home and we would have no hesitation in recommending your service!

5 Star Quality service from beginning to the end. This company lead our move with absolute perfection from the initial quotation to the very end when the crew left with their empty lorry at our new home. The team who moved us were immaculately dressed, polite, friendly, professional.they even watched the dog whilst I nipped out! Boxes were outstanding quality with the team carefully moving our furniture to our new home. Can not thank the team enough and a huge thank you to Claudia in the office team, you were an absolute star *****

Thank you so much to Steve, John and Claudia for making our complicated move from Stoke to Leeds so easy and hassle free. Steve and John were an absolutely amazing team, both in packing up and removal to storage and then 4 month later from storage to Leeds. Both worked so hard, were most obliging and careful with our stuff. They had a very long day travelling from Stafford to Leeds early in the morning, then worked extrenely hard full working day, covering our three storey house before travelling back to Stafford.
We cannot thank them enough for their hard work, their professional and cheerful attitude, problem solving skills and their sense of humour. Throughout the whole process Claudia in the office has always been a constant, pleasant source of help and reassurance, not mentioning looking so well after all our plants. Must recommend Horsley's storage too, all our stuff has been returned intact and fresh, just the way we left it there. All in all, excellent service, money well spent. Thank you all very much again.

Great service from start to end! We had a fair bit of uncertainty trying to lock in dates within our chain, Horsley's were brilliant with us and once we managed to lock dates they guided us neatly through the process. The removal guys were cheerful, friendly and very accommodating; they packed everything with great care and on removal day they got us all ready by mid-day.
The guys were as cheerful when they finished unloading at 6.30 p.m as they had been at 8:30 a.m, couldn't fault them! Seamless, stress-free and professional. Would definitely use them again without a moment's hesitation!

We used Horsleys to move from Stafford to Cumbria. The move took place over two days and we cannot recommend them enough. The guys were brilliant. They were very accommodating and they worked really hard. It was a very long day for them but they never complained once. the staff in the office were also really helpful.

Moving house is very stressful. My son had moved a couple of times using a local removal firm, Horsleys of Stafford and he recommended them to me. A family Company and it was the owner himself who came to look at our house contents to provide a quote. Very professional and he clearly outlined the timeline for the movement of our belongings, something other removal companies overlooked, all in all I could see he ran a caring efficient business with an eye for detail.
He provided a very competitive quote which we accepted. Unfortunately our house move was not straight forward with the vendor of our future house backing out only 10 days before the move. Horsleys not only stood by us during this change in plans but were fundamental in helping us overcome major logistic problems whilst we found another house. Claudia and Lynda between them kept us informed of alternatives and ways to ease the burden.
They went about this in a most professional way and their experience shone through as they carved out a pathway forward to help us, nothing was left to chance and the big move finally began without stress just as they planned. Now I spent a big chunk of my career in distribution so I was sceptical that the drivers and operators would be able to match the high standard Russell, Claudia and Lynda had set.
What a revelation when the team arrived led by Dave and very ably assisted by Pops. They simply took over the problems of the move. they worked very hard and very efficiently. They were courteous and respectful at all times and they kept us up to date with how the job was going. No short cuts and they all showed that they fully understood what good customer service is all about. All in all a five star service by professionals, a local company for us to be proud of, thank you Russell and your team

We moved house with Horsley's of Stafford and ended up having a very difficult and stressful experience. After arriving at our new home, we discovered that several items of furniture were damaged, including a couple of items that had been brand new prior to the move. We contacted Horsley's in writing, as per their instructions, and received what we considered to be a very offhand and rude letter in reply, stating that our claims were (and I quote) "complete and utter nonsense", intimating that we had done the damage ourselves.
After further correspondence, we were eventually asked to seek a quote from an independent furniture restorer. He confirmed that the damage to the furniture was consisitent with the furniture having been dragged along a rough surface such as a pavement or the ramp of a removal van, and that the items were all beyond worthwhile repair. We sent his letter to Horsley's, who responded with compensation of ?60 and a letter stating that they would not be entering into any more correspondence with us. After all of the assurances that they had given us prior to the move, and the company's supposedly good reputation, we were very disappointed.
