We were very pleased with the professional way the packing and removal of our furniture was handled. We had a competent and obliging team working with us over three days.

The entire service was great and efficient and staff were very helpful until we came across this challenge at the destination location: My parents have moved from Germany to Africa. The contract states that all easily to assemble goods will be assembled upon arrival again except the specialised ones. They have dropped off the goods and assembled the beds.

There are still office desks, dining room table, book shelves, etc that need assembling and they are now claiming that these items need a specialist handyman which costs 115/hour. This is a complete rip off. We have chosen this company because of fact that they would assemble the items upon arrival. We didn't expect them to assemble the kitchen. We should have gone with the other company that didn't promise to assemble anything as it was more than 5K cheaper. Very disappointed and hence would not recommend.

My experience with Cadogan and Tate has exceeded my expectations. Every single employee has been professional and kind. From the person who came home and quoted me, to the people handling emails and replying diligently and, most of all, the staff that packed our stuff in London and unpacked on the other side of the Atlantic. Everyone has been helpful and careful and all our belongings arrived within the time frame advised and in great conditions!

We used Cadogan Tate to move furniture, paintings, china, glassware, clothing, etc from our flat in Paris to three addresses in the UK. At each point in the operation, Cadogan Tate employees were terrific- on time, very helpful, efficient, tidy, polite, careful- in short, superlative in every way. Very, very impressive. I was unsure about using the company. I had no reliable source to reach out to for shipping a family heirloom painting. I was waffling between a much lower bid and this one. In the end I believe I made the best choice. The price was relatively fair, under fifteen hundred from Brooklyn to LA, once we took off the local Long Island pick-up and decided to drop off the item to the warehouse in Brooklyn, which saved us three hundred dollars.

The trucks are all theirs, everything is in-house, no third party shippers or packers. The warehouse and the trucks are climate controlled so the artwork is not exposed to extremes of temperatures. When I went to the actual facility, saw the operation, and went inside to see how items are packaged and handled, it was a no-brainer that I was going to use this company.

The staff were all engaged, I spoke with them about how they would pack and crate the painting, and they showed me the staging area. I was as confident as I could be about leaving a large early 18th c painting in very fragile condition, for them to pack and ship to Los Angeles. We received it, five days later, crated, with foam and styrofoam outside of cardboard packed frame and canvas, with Tybek wrapped around canvas for protection of painted surface.

They uncrated the painting and the frame, unpacked it for us, and then we had them pack it back up as we are sending it back out again for conservation. All in all, a seamless transaction, and a company I would definitely use again.

We have used Cadogan Tate for many years to help us with our moves and they have always provide a truly exceptional service. This move was no different. The whole move was stress free with every aspect well handled by Peter and his excellent team. They were incredibly efficient arriving on time, well prepared and got about to packing straight away. Having used other companies before we have always been involved in the packing either doing this alongside or ahead of a the move. Cadogan handled everything for a very reasonable price which taking into account what we had paid for material etc in the past, was not dissimilar. Consequently, we were able to leave them to it, returning to double check and then head to the new property where they put everything in the right rooms, unpacked glassware and were finished 2 hours early. Could not recommend highly enough.

Team of 4 men were quick, efficient and smart. Didn't notice anything broken so far. The job was done faster than I expected. They also negotiated some tricky driving situations to get into the right spot with the lorry. Would recommend.

We were able to move house during this time. Cadogan Tate and their entire team are flawless. They are skilled packers and movers. What the team accomplished in half a day is beyond me! Friendly, caring, handy, and efficient. that was our team of stars! I would highly recommend Cadogan Tate to anyone.
