Absolutely awful company, would recommend no-one uses this company! They moved our house and damaged so many of our items through 'chucking' our possessions on their vans without any care.piling things on top of each other and not wrapping it (as we had paid for!) Who would slide a cream mattress into the back of a removal van without covering it first?!
And who would stack a massive gas BBQ on top of your sofas without protection. Luckes would!?! When we raised this with the company, they sent a rude and uncaring woman that accepted no responsibility about the poor service as we did not take the liability insurance for their abysmal service! Avoid with a barge pole is my recommendation!

From the first point of contact to the final goodbye Luckes Removals were professional, friendly, and filled us with confidence. John and Mark were an amazing hands-on team, and everyone one we came into contact with were equally as brilliant.they make you feel as though you are important with everything they do. A brilliant company who provided an outstanding service. They put up with a chain that broke three times but were still able to move us in the last week before the stamp duty cut off. Really good communication throughout and the guys doing the packing and moving were fantastic - highly recommended company.

Max and the team have been brilliant throughout our move, from providing a Covid-safe quote through to the moving day itself. John, Mark and Jay were calm, professional and efficient throughout, and were smiley and chatty even when they must have been worn out. We contacted Max at Luckes a week before our move after another firm were unable to move us. Max completed a virtual tour of our house and very quickly returned a quote to us. John and Mark arrived the day before our move to pack the house, they were absolutely fantastic! They went above and beyond to help us with the move. On the moving day itself the team were prompt in arriving and very quickly cleared the house.
They really helped us out as due to Covid restrictions we were having to move with no help from family with a 8 week old baby and a 4 year old. The team were especially lovely to our daughter. Once we were at our new home, once again John and Mark went above and beyond to ensure we were settled before they left. All in all a fantastic team who we would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking to move.

This was our first time using a removal company rather than moving ourselves, thinking of it as another expense. However after being recommended to us by several people, I have to say Luckes were worth every (very reasonably priced! penny). We were blown away with how professional, friendly and extremely helpful John and Mark were. Nothing was too much trouble and they found time to be cheerful and chat with us on what would otherwise have been a really stressful day, especially without having friends or family to help us due to lockdown. They are even helping with some furniture that just wouldn't fit into our new house. Thank you both.

I used this firm because they incredibly kindly moved a piano for me, that I and four others had been unable to get through a doorway. They did this for me for free, because I told them they could have the piano for charity -everyone's a winner! Because of this kindness I decided to use them for my house move from Wilts to Devon. They are a great business with kind, human, professional staff and I thoroughly recommend them. We're still unpacking, and we have, thus far, not found a single item damaged! Use these guys.

Amazing company, made moving house so easy and stress free. I've used A Luckes & Sons twice now, with an 8 year gap in between and they're great. Nothing is to much trouble and on the day the move guys went above and beyond to help me with jobs they didn't really have to. Would recommend them to anyone moving house. Having used Luckes and Son on previous occasions they are my go to at any sign of a house move. I cannot fault them: the team who helped me and my family move house in August were absolutely second to none. They packed and cleared the entire house on the Monday and Tuesday, and had us in by the Thursday evening. What’s more: we had emptied all the boxes by the following Tuesday, and they came and collected them immediately.
A potentially stressful experience ended up being totally relaxed (and rather fun one - I know I know!) - fortunately my neighbour made them cookies too, so along with the copious cups of tea and coffee we were all happy! Luckes & Son stepped in move us at short notice and were fantastic. From Max coming round to survey the same afternoon and prioritising our quote, to the lady answering the phone who was always super helpful. John and Mark were our main team and couldn’t have done more to make the process as stress free as possible, even with difficult access, parking, torrential rain and thunderstorms to contend with.
Not to mention a piano to move out of a tight spot. They were both friendly and polite and I loved chatting to John. Alex and his sons and Trevor were also brilliant, although think it’ll take Trevor a while before he can face another wardrobe. Whilst we’re still unpacking it has been made so much easier by boxes being sensibly packed and labelled.
I’d absolutely recommend Luckes and Sons although I hopefully won’t have a need to use them again for a long time.

Luckes were used for a recent move in Swindon. The guys arrived promptly, introduced themselves, made preparations and started loading up. Everything was delivered in the same condition it left in a timely manner, we were completely moved in only a short time. Perfect service and would not hesitate to use again in the future.
