We have been established for 24 years and we specialise in 1, 2 and 3 bedroom house removals. The main areas we cover include Holmfirth/ Holme Valley, Kirkburton, Skelmanthorpe, Colne Valley, Marsh, Outlane, Mirfield, Heckmondwilke and surrounding Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield districts. We usually work by an hourly rate or alternatively a home visit can be arranged to give a fixed price quotation.
Most people in and around Huddersfield will remember us as Humpers. We made a bold decision in 2016 to undertake a name change and rebranded ourselves as Orange Camel. It hasn't been an easy transition but thanks to our loyal customers and our reputation, we have now established a good foothold that will allow us to take Orange Camel to the next level.
Sharky's Machine is used for Removals in Huddersfield. The removals van is a 1998 Mk 5 Ford Transit long wheelbase van fitted with an alloy bodies GRP luton body. Orange Camel Removals has owned this van since 2000 and have covered a staggering 250,000 miles in her so far. She has just had an extensive professional bodyshop restoration and full respray with new distinctive Orange Camel logos.
At Orange Camel we offer a full or part packing service. We can pack using your existing boxes or can supply insurance quality cartons from our extensive stock. Our packers have gained years of experience from regularly handling fragile and antique items during house clearances and working with local salerooms.
All vehicles are licenced by the Envoironment Agency reg no. CBDU81691 to move unwanted goods to the recycling centre and we aim to recycle over 40% of waste through our close relationship with a dedicated team of waste specialists. We have a close working relationship with many local charity shops ensuring non saleable goods that are too good to recycle find a new home. Every job is cleared and cleaned (if necessary) to a very high standard ready for point of sale.

These guys are so good! They've moved us twice both times on baking hot days going up and down multiple flights of steep narrow stairs and they stayed professional and friendly throughout. They charge very reasonably by the hour and work quickly and hard and take really good care of your stuff. I wouldn't use anyone else and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Stephen, David and Simon were highly efficient operators. They did our move that comprised of moving to a small flat and also the majority of things to storage. They were professional, careful and friendly, keeping us calm at all times in this stressful situation. They made the move look easy because of their skills and experience. Steve and his team were brilliant, we couldn't have done it without them. The job were bigger than we had originally agreed as we couldn't move the smaller boxes ourselves prior to the move, however Steve and his team sorted absolutely everything for us. Recently downsized and used Orange Camel to move us. Orange Camel did an excellent job transporting all our furniture, dismantling and reassembling where required and somehow squeezing it in to a much smaller house with difficult access (steps up to the front door and then a further 2 flights of stairs to navigate with some furniture once in the house!) Tight corners and low doors made it all a bit of a challenge but Stephen and his team managed it all carefully and professionally. Happy to recommend Orange Camel to anyone looking for a smooth moving experience.

Amazing from start to finish. Arrived on time and worked really hard to get the job done as quickly as possible. The whole team were professional and a pleasure to deal with. Everyone went the extra mile to get all furniture where we wanted it (including a fridge/freezer in our rather tiny cellar!) Thank you for making a stressful situation care free and easy! Amazing and hard working guys! Orange Camel helped us move from Huddersfield to Wakefield and turned up on time and were so efficient and friendly! completely trustworthy and would recommend to anyone! They took almost all the stress away from a typical busy moving day and are upbeat and very helpful! Would definitely choose them again!

I cannot recommend the guys from Orange Camel enough. We had a tricky completion on a house we were selling, which went on all day. They treated the whole situation with complete professionalism and understanding and were fantastically efficient when we finally completed on the deal and had access to the house. What is more their prices are reasonable too. It is a five star rating from us and we will definitely be using their services again.

Fantastic, reliable and trustworthy service. I recently moved house in the Huddersfield area, Stephen and his team did an excellent job transporting all my large furniture, including some very bulky items and to a house in a remote location. They went above and beyond with their service, helping to dismantle furniture that was too big to get out of the house and rebuilding it at the new house.
I could not recommend this company enough and will be sure to use their services again in the future. This is the best option if you're looking for a hassle free moving day experience.

They gritted the path and emptied our first floor flat in no time, even taking the decorated Christmas tree so it could go straight up in our new home. The wardrobes were too big to remove so they disassembled them and rebuilt them in our new bedroom. I would definitely choose Orange Camel to do any future moves.

Lovely set of guys! .. Was packed up and moved really quickly didn't expect to be so fast. They did everything and didn't even need me to do anything.
