As always, Location Warehousing rates are highly competitive and there is no charge for quotations. Location Warehousing S.L. is a family business owned and managed by brothers Steve and Mark. The company has been established for five years during which time it has acquired a reputation as one of the premier removal and storage companies of Eastern Almera in Southern Spain.
Such has been the company's success that it has moved into large new premises on the El Real Industrial Estate which sits alongside the A7/E15 Autovia del Mediterrneo at Antas, Almera.

Services
Moving house has rightly been identified as one of the most stressful events that one can experience. From carefully wrapping and packing your furniture prior to the move, transporting it - perhaps via their Antas store, and unpacking and positioning your goods in your new home, nobody takes greater care of your valuable and precious possessions than the staff of Location Warehousing.
As with local removals, all goods are professionally packed prior to the move and carefully handled throughout. But if a local removal is stressful for the householder, consider the additional burden and worry associated with an international relocation. In addition to the unavoidable upheaval and uprooting, the logistics of the move are far more complicated and often licences, permits etc have to be obtained. Location Warehousing are well accustomed to resolving such issues and ensuring a smooth and problem-free move to your new country of residence.
The company offers 400 cubic metres of available storage space in the UK and a further 500 cubic metres of space in Antas, Almera, Spain. Virtually nothing is too large, and certainly nothing is too small for Location Warehousing to accommodate in its stores. Forklift services are of course available.
Location Warehousing offers secure long and short term storage for corporate and private files, documents etc. Such items are stored in shelved archive containers which offer excellent and easy access for document retrieval or addition. The external dimension of these containers are 2184 mm x 1575 mm x 2438 mm (7'2" x 5'2" x 8'0") - exactly the same as those used for commercial storage.

We entered into a contract with this company in mid December 2020 to transport a container of household furniture, clothing, kitchenware/ utensils and cycles from Spain to the UK. The agreement was collection on January 4th, 2021 which went well and delivery on or as close to 16th January as logistically possible. We were aware of and expecting some potential Post Brexit issues but not the length of time it eventually took to deliver the goods.
Our furniture was delivered to us yesterday, 24/1/2021, 52 days after departure! We did not anticipate this process taking almost two months. While I appreciate Brexit has caused some disruptions, I do not think this company were in anyway prepared for this whole process which should not have taken the length of time it did. Apart from the length of time taken, there are other issues which caused me concern. Updates and communication was virtually nil.
The only time I actually received any contact or updates was when I initiated contact requesting updates. My first contact with them a few days prior to the agreed delivery date was the first sign of problems. They didn't contact me to inform me of delays, it was only when I contacted them that they informed me our delivery would not be happening on schedule.
This pattern continued throughout. The company was extremely poor and vague when requesting completion of new HMRC import forms. After waiting almost two months we were literally asked to complete a seven page HMRC document within twenty four hours or face further delays if we didn't complete and scan the required form which was typically vague and complex unless you are familiar with tax/ accountancy jargon! Having paid E1350 cash up front for this service, I can honestly say I would not engage this company again for future removals.
The cherry on the cake was delivery day which was 24/1/21. The poor young lad sub contracted to transfer our goods from the southern depot to the north east was given this task on his own. Part of the contents included a solid oak six drawer chest of drawers approximately 5 feet long, 3 feet high and two feet deep and a matching oak king sized bed and mattress, both of which weighed a tonne for want of a better phrase.
It took two men a significant effort to remove both items from the bedroom of a ground floor apartment in Spain and it was made clear they were going into an upstairs bedroom in the UK. There is absolutely no way whatsoever either item could be lifted or moved by one person. It was a struggle for two without incorporating stairs! The delivery driver was exceptional, apologetic and actually normally used to delivering fruit and vegetables! Does this sound like a professional operation?
As a 55yr old male of reasonable fitness with the usual knee / back problems of an active physical life, I faced " Hobson's Choice" Either help him and risk injury to one or both of us or don't receive the bed and drawers we'd waited almost eight weeks for? The two of us struggled to manhandle the items upstairs but how professional is this? A logistics company who knew the size of certain items sending one person to carry items they knew were impossible for one person to manage relying on the desperation of the customer to assist, putting both individuals at risk of serious injury!
My review to this point was going to be as fair and balanced given the uncertainties Brexit provided but this was the final straw. I paid a significant sum of money to have valuable goods and personal items transported in a professional, timely manner. What I got was an amateurish outfit who were quite happy to expose me to serious risk simply to make a few more quid.
To a degree, I can forgive the lack of preparedness or control of the Brexit transition but the total lack of care or professionalism for the well-being of myself or the young lad who performed admirably is not something I can forgive or accept. COWBOYS!

In March 2018 using their contact removal company CANNON in Cambridgeshire UK our furniture was expertly packed for international travel into Locations own containers and transported to their warehouse in Antas. It remained in their warehouse until June 2020 and was finally delivered to our new home in perfect condition. The delivery was superbly carried out and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended, nothing lost or damaged!
